Few Updates from Chennai

A non-stop rain for 3 days with no power was way past due, yet I would like to mention about it with some of its impacts. It was a couple of weeks back I believe, that some kind of cyclone brought significant amount of rain which changed the entire lives of the city.

I heard from the phone call that this was going to happen but did not pay much attention. When it continued to rain for two days, all the roads and places were covered with a large body of water, giving no space to walk. Plus, there was no power until the rain completely stopped. Despite the heavy rain, there was no water in my room for time being since we could not run the water pump due to power outage.

A street right before my doorstep was full of water, for which I could avail one day leave :)

Life with no power for three days was very unusual. One night we were running out of candles so I went out to buy one. I could find no candle in the near by shop, which was very unusual indeed. It reminded me of some economical terms such as utility, value...etc.

Once the rain stopped and lives were back on track, I started watching this show with the influence of somebody which turned me out to be a Prison Freak.

As a kind of celebration that the rain had stopped, for the first time in Chennai, I've got a chance to hang out with someone in KFC. I was stupid that I did not think about taking some pictures of the stuffs we had but wasting my time watching these Korean kids sitting right next to our table. I could remember the elder brother calling his younger brother..Chianglo! In fact, it was something like Xhiang Hao.

I don't know if I'd be able to survive three days with no power :( Being confined to the house is one thing (especially if it's an unexpected leave) but then... no PC, no Telly, no so many things. I notice you did watch your TV though, so I'm guessing it wasn't all that bad. The Korean kids are C-U-T-E!!!

Daydream- Yep exactly. Plus those stagnant water brought a lot of mosquitoes which made life yet miserable. I offered a pack of chocolate to the younger kid so I could manage to take their pics hehe..
