This is not my point, though. Working for long hours, investing money for future without knowing what will happen tomorrow - That's what I imagined when I stared at the drumsticks.
Sometimes, I used to think life is so cruel so is the one who makes it cruel. We born, we work and we die, without having anything to spare for the next life. No matter how hard we work and how much we invest, everything will be in vain when we're taken away from this world. We still work despite this, tryin to invest as much as possible. This is life!
Having this thought in my mind, I was reminded of a song of ascents - Psalm 127.
Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early,
To retire late, to eat the bread of painful labors;
For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.
Behold, children are a gift of the Lord;
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
When they speak with their enemies in the gate.

Amen to that.
But then, thats what life is all about. If we think only about the gist of life, then it is just one blank meaningless nothing. But looking at it moment by moment, is what makes the difference.
sometimes I feel that life is too tough...you work your heart out but no what for? but always look at the other side..the less fortunate...
but sometimes its a bit too tough for me
Thanks the duo for chiming into this. I've got a couple of friends here in the same city who have the same thoughts as mine. One being a gold medalist in M.Sc biochemistry, who has a month left to complete her M. Phil. She cried thinking about all these facts and said that there's no use of learning such tough courses.
I simply replied - when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
You gave us a new song to sing, by the way :)
